If you’re not afraid of a little dirt and a lot of noise, this summer, you could be in for a pretty wild ride. The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, now in its 59th season, will be packing the stands August 10th through 13th, 2011. You’ll see some amazingly skilled ropers and riders as they compete in bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and more.
But it wouldn’t be long before race participants did their own head-turning. Over the last half of the 3.1-mile course, the streets were peppered with musical groups of various types. Nearly all of them were made up of musicians in the 8-16-year-old range. One of the first bands happened to be the heaviest and loudest.

Despite the fact their routine wasn’t everything it could have been, I don’t see Randi and Evan getting cut this week. There is something likeable about this cute couple. That may carry them far with the audience as well as the judges.
First off, they would be doing a Waltz with Hunter Johnson. They didn’t look all that comfortable while doing this slow dance. Nigel tickets for Dear Evan Hansen musical thought it was a tough routine and they weren’t controlled enough. He got booooos for saying he was disappointed. Ellen thought they were fantastic. Mary thought they did it pretty good but she would have liked to see it stronger. Mia expected magic but it didn’t take her away like she had hoped.
When you are thinking about things to do when bored, it can be useful to consider whether boredom has become an ongoing problem in your life. Your time after work or school, or on the weekends, can be put into doing something constructive for yourself and for others. Everyone does need a bit of down time, though. If boredom has not become a habit, rest and relaxation is a healthy part of life. Give yourself a little break by writing in your journal, or spending some quality time with your friends and family.
